Izzy and Bo at the Brookfield Dog Park

I blogged a while back that I was worried that Bogart was not as social as he used to be.  I was worried that he was being overprotective of the yard, of his dogmates, and of me.  He gets excited when he sees a dog in the park attached to our yard and that dog is off leash.  Even though he knows what will happen sometimes he will run out of the yard towards the dog, they smell each other and seem to be say..."Oh Its You!!"  and then Bo comes back home...yes he gets shocked going and coming.
So the other day, Heather asked if I wanted to meet her and Izzy at the Brookfield Dog Park.  I felt a bit apprehensive, not knowing how they will behave.  Its too hard to take both Otto and Bo, so this time Bo drew the lucky straw and into my car he hopped.
There was only one other dog at the park when we got there, a small one, and Izzy politely said her hellos.  Hez and I decided to take a walk on one of the paths, and Bo trotted along side ..darting into the shrubs, with Izzy on his heels, then out he came with Izzy close behind.  Both dogs came whenever we called them making this a relaxing fun experience.    One area was a little wet but only 8 paws got a little muddy, nothing else..Hurray.  It was close to 90 degrees, so it didn't take long for both dogs to get dog tired, with tongues hanging out we made our way back to the entrance.

As we approached the entrance there was new dog eyeing us, this one was Bo's size.  They ran up to each other, said Howdy..and that was about it.  Another Hurray!!

Heather put Izzy back on her leash...

Bo let us know he was ready to go home

Izzy hopped in....
and our mini adventure was done for today.  Both dogs had some exercise and fun and both behaved perfectly!  I actually am looking forward to the next outting.
